Ira Weiner was born in New York City, New York. He is a member of the bar associations of New Jersey and Sussex County.

Mr. Weiner has a long record of public and community service.  He is the former Mayor of Vernon Township, where he also served for many years as a councilman.  He has been a member of many boards and commissions in Vernon, including the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment, Historic Commission, and Board of Health.  He served as a Commissioner on the Two Bridges Sewer Authority, and is the Past President of the Hidden Valley Property Owners Association.

Mr. Weiner was general counsel to The Turner Group, a large regional insurance broker, and served as a member of the Professional Insurance Agents Legislative, Technical and Company Relations Committee.  He also serves as pro bono counsel to several local non-profit organizations.
