At Beattie Padovano we provide our new attorneys with:
- interesting, important work.
- responsibility and client contact at an early stage.
- a mentoring program to ensure success.
- encouragement for business development, community service and pro bono work.
- a quality of life not found in our larger competitors.
- a salary competitive with our peers.
Our new attorneys find that they get a “taste” of the many facets of our practice but are shortly assigned to the department of their choice. They are mentored by experienced lawyers who give them a firm grounding in the nuances of law practice that are not seen in law school or a clerkship. They see clients and are given as much responsibility as they can handle. Our workload is demanding but we recognize the importance of family and friends to the men and women who work at Beattie Padovano. Many of our lawyers find time to coach their children in sports or to do all of the other things that mothers and fathers do for a healthy family. On our partnership track, a lawyer needs to generate new business for the firm, so our associates are encouraged to network broadly and are mentored in the arts and skills of business development.
Many of our new attorneys have served in a judicial clerkship in New Jersey or Federal Courts, but we encourage any well-rounded, high achiever to apply. We have one or more summer clerkships available every year and invite our successful clerks to join our associate ranks.
We sometimes entertain applications from well-qualified, experienced attorneys who meet our specific needs and who, on their own, have determined to change their status.
Beattie Padovano is an equal opportunity employer.
