Attorney Spotlight – Antimo “Andy” Del Vecchio

Today we present the very first edition of our “Spotlight Series”, which is designed to help you get to know the team behind Beattie Padovano, LLC.
We are pleased to highlight Antimo (Andy) Del Vecchio, Co-Managing Member at the firm.
Andy’s areas of practice include Land Use, Development, Redevelopment, and Affordable Housing; Community Associations, Local Government, and Tax Appeals; and Environmental Law and Permitting. Passionate, results-oriented, and ever focused on the needs of his corporate, commercial, retail, industrial, mixed use, and residential clients, Andy has secured permits and land use approvals for projects large and small throughout New Jersey and New York. And, among other notable successes, Andy has also regularly represented property owners before tax boards and NJ Tax Court, where he has tried millions of dollars in refunds.
In addition to his work going above and beyond for clients, Andy also leads with a philanthropic spirit, having served on numerous committees for various charitable organizations over the years.
We caught up with Andy recently to learn more:
Andy, what inspired you to pursue a career as an attorney? I always liked the challenge of solving complex problems and helping people navigate challenging situations. Early in my career, I realized that practicing law combined my interests in analysis, advocacy, and making a tangible difference in people’s lives. The opportunity to shape outcomes through preparation, strategy, and sound judgment continues to inspire me every day.
What do you most enjoy about working with your team at Beattie Padovano, LLC?
The collaborative culture and the very talented attorneys here are exceptional. Our attorneys bring diverse backgrounds to the table, and share a common commitment to always serve our client’s interest first. We work closely together to find creative, effective solutions for our clients—often turning difficult matters into successful resolutions. That spirit of teamwork and mutual respect makes Beattie Padovano a truly rewarding place to practice.
What types of cases are especially meaningful or rewarding for you, and why?
I find great satisfaction in cases where my work directly impacts a client’s business or personal future—whether it’s helping a small business owner resolve a dispute that may have threatened their livelihood, or guiding a complex real estate project from concept to completion. One memorable case involved successfully overturning a town’s exclusionary zoning to make way for the first ever affordable housing development in the town.
What is your favorite part about living and working in Northern New Jersey?
Northern New Jersey offers the perfect balance of professional opportunity and community connection. I enjoy being part of a region that’s both dynamic and close-knit—where you can build strong client relationships while still being near family, friends, and living amidst the area’s natural beauty. Plus, living and working just outside of New York City means we get the best of both worlds.
Please share a fun fact about yourself: personal or professional!
Outside the office, I love spending time with my family – especially during our summer vacations. Our trip to Italy this past summer, when we were able to return to the Dolomites, was exceptional.
What advice would you give to an aspiring lawyer?
Never lose sight of the importance of integrity, preparation, and empathy. A career in law is ultimately a people profession; understanding your client’s goals and the human element behind every case is just as critical as knowing the statutes and precedents. Work hard, listen carefully, and always stay curious. Those qualities will carry you far, both in your practice and your professional relationships.
