Antimo (“Andy”) Del Vecchio is the co-managing member of Beattie Padovano and co-chairs Beattie Padovano’s Land Use Development, Redevelopment and Affordable Housing Group. He is involved in all areas of planning, redevelopment, and zoning law as well as real estate tax appeals. He represents corporate, commercial, retail, industrial, mixed use, and residential clients in obtaining land use and environmental permits and approvals from municipal governing bodies and planning and zoning boards. Passionate, results-oriented, and known for his client-centric approach, he has earned a reputation among his clients as a lawyer who will aggressively pursue their project and who is completely committed to their success. He has secured permits and land use approvals for both big and small projects in New Jersey and New York.

Deeply committed to staying current and educating others about new developments in the law, Andy has been an instructor at the Bergen County Bar Association’s Annual Land Use Committee as well as a member of the New Jersey Planning Officials Association. He is a frequent featured speaker and panelist at various Continuing Legal Education programs and is a past Director of the Land Use section of the New Jersey State Bar.

In addition, Andy publishes an annual newsletter to demystify the real estate tax appeal process for his existing and potential clients. He regularly represents property owners before county tax boards and the New Jersey Tax Court. He has successfully obtained by negotiation and tried millions of dollars in refunds on behalf of his corporate, commercial, industrial, and residential clients.

During the course of his career, Andy has also served on numerous committees for various charitable organizations and continues to stay involved, always looking to make a difference.

  • Representation of the joint-venture developer of a 25-acre farm to be redeveloped as a planned unit development with multi-family residential and retail uses in connection with municipal rezoning, land use application and subsequent litigation.
  • Representation of clients negotiating multi-party Mt. Laurel settlements in Alpine, Dumont, Englewood Cliffs, Fair Lawn, Franklin Lakes, Little Ferry, Montvale, Parsippany, Wallington, Wayne and Woodcliff Lake.
  • Representation of an international paint company in purchasing, securing land use approvals and construction of its new corporate headquarters.
  • Representation of an international car company in acquiring, securing design bids, following design competition for new/expanded North American headquarters which included offices and research design and training center.
  • Representation of an international accounting firm in locating and securing site for corporate expansion and construction of new data center, including redevelopment of existing site and corporate campus connection. Also participated in design process and responsible for securing all land use approvals.
  • Representation of an international delivery company in securing land use approvals for the redevelopment, expansion and acquisition of new sites for their New Jersey operations.
  • Representation of a utility company in securing land use approvals for their New Jersey sites.
  • Representation of several corporate headquarter sites, seeking redevelopment rights/approvals to permit mixed uses and/or residential housing, including affordable housing.
  • Representation of a developer seeking delay damages from a municipality in connection with an affordable housing project and securing a multimillion-dollar settlement.
